A count down appears indicating when Kaltura will start to record your audio and video. Click the Recording Button to start the recording.Click the arrow beneath Video Setting 1 and select the desired screen or webcam.Click the icon for the video setting you do not want to use.After syncing Kaltura Capture with your account, any videos you record with the program will be uploaded to your central My Media library. Note: You only have to do this once per computer. Select Kaltura Capture, click the option for Remember my choice for kaltura-pc links, and click Open link. Depending on your browser, a popup appears asking which application you would like to launch.Sync Kaltura Capture to your account by returning to the course and navigating to Tools> Upload/Record Media> +Add New> NEW! If you make a mistake and want an easy way to find that portion of the recording for editing later, just take a 15 second break from speaking into the microphone before resuming the presentation. You can also take advantage of this feature during the recording process. This can be useful if you are looking for sections of the recording to remove. To get the tray back, just click the button again:Ħ) RECORDING TIP: The audio wave form can be used to identify portions of your recording where there is no audio. The audio wave form shows the audio levels throughout the recording:ĥ) INTERFACE TIP: If you are having trouble viewing all of the editing features, use the navigation tray button in the upper-left corner of Moodle to hide the navigation menu and create more room on the screen. Once you have recorded or uploaded videos to Kaltura, you can edit these videos to trim out sections of the timeline.ġ) To begin editing a Kaltura video, start by clicking the "My Media" link in Moodle:Ģ) Find the video you would like to edit and click the "pencil" icon on the right-hand side:ģ) On the next screen, click the "launch editor" button:Ĥ) You can now use the tools at the bottom of the editor to trim out portions of the video.
